Alpaca Trekking Terms & Conditions

Bookings may be rearranged or cancelled up to 2 days before your scheduled walk date.

After this time, no cancellations or refunds are accepted.

It may be possible to change the date of your trek but it is not guaranteed, so please let us know if there are any problems ASAP.

You must be 16+ to walk your own Alpaca.

It is strictly one adult to one alpaca.

Children aged 12-16 must be accompanied by an adult.

An adult must be in charge of the alpaca for children up to 12 years old.  Children under 12 are not permitted to take charge of an alpaca at any point.

ACCESSABILITY

The moorland is rough and bumpy and can be muddy and is not suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs or walking aids.

The trek requires a level of physical fitness. You will have to be able to walk for 40 minutes to 1 hour each way.

We reserve the right to refuse you participation of the experience if we feel it is a risk to your own safety, our safety or the alpaca’s safety.

ACCIDENTS & SAFETY

Accidents can happen. We give an extensive health and safety briefing prior to any of our experiences and ask you to read the ALPACA TREKKING – WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW GUIDE prior to making the booking so that you can decide whether the alpaca trek is for you.  If you agree to the terms and conditions, we will require you to sign the declaration before commencing the trek.

Strictly no children (under 16 years) are allowed on the moorland trek.  Children cannot accompany a trekking adult or be carried by a trekking adult for safety reasons.

We do offer specially designed packages for children under the age of 16 by arrangement.

Dogs are not allowed on the trek.

Sorry, no umbrellas are allowed to be taken on the trek as they can startle the alpacas.

In extreme hot, wet and windy weather, we reserve the right to cancel the trek if it is unsafe for the alpacas or trekkers. If this is the case then a full refund will be given or rescheduled to a suitable date.

If you are late for your designated Alpaca Trekking slot and the trek has commenced, then you will miss the trek and not be granted a refund.

We reserve the right to change the terms and conditions, prices or website without notice.
